Client:
Coordinating MEP complexity for a leading laboratory space in Guildford
About the project
Integra delivered the full mechanical services fitout for LGC’s new lab and office space in Guildford, working closely with Bulb Laboratories to meet complex technical requirements through detailed design, coordination, and commissioning. The building, originally built in the 1990s for office use, had gone through a significant refurbishment to a lab-enabled shell and core fitout. LGC took the ground floor.
LGC had very specific requirements for their new lab space, this meant that the mechanical systems were not straight forward and required detailed design and close collaboration with the client team to ensure that the systems were suitable for the processes being carried out and the equipment being installed. This involved complex room pressure systems and controls, specialist water supplies and so on. As with all lab projects, an extensive commissioning programme was required.
